Mr. Obeagu, an Oxfam scholar, holds a Master of laws degree (LL.M) ( First Class) from Utrecht University 's Law Faculty, The Netherlands (2006); Barrister-at-Law (BL) from the Nigerian Law School , Abuja (1999); and Bachelor of Laws degree (LL.B Hons) from the University of Nigeria , Nsukka (1997). He is a member of: Nigerian Bar Association (NBA); Int'l Bar Association (IBA); Prison Fellowship Int'l (PFI); and, Associate, American Bar Association (ABA). He has diverse work experiences in both the private and public sectors as a private legal practitioner in Lagos , and with Hurilaws/Olisa Agbakoba & Associates as a Legal/Project Officer, Special Assistant (Administration) to the Senate President, Federal Republic of Nigeria (National Assembly), and Project Coordinator of an Abuja-based Leadership and Development Centre. He has published some books and researched extensively, including a thesis on the interface between international and national law entitled: “Oil Business and the Niger Delta Conflict in Nigeria : A Study of Government and Corporate Complicity in Human Rights Abuses.” Awards include Oxfam-Novib Scholarship, the Netherlands & the Youth Ambassador for Peace Award by Youth for World Peace/Universal Peace Federation. He is creative, team-oriented, dependable and driven by excellence, and takes interest in promoting good governance and development.
